Claim details: Flight information, airline, bag descriptions, and claimed items you enter into the claim wizard.
Payment information: Processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers. We receive your Stripe customer ID and payment status.
Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and interaction patterns (collected via PostHog analytics).

2. How We Use Your Information

To calculate claim deadlines and generate legal documents for your baggage claims.
To submit claims to airlines on your behalf (Auto-File plan).
To send transactional emails (claim confirmations, deadline reminders) via Resend.
To process payments and verify purchase status.
To improve our service based on aggregated, anonymized usage data.

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate My Bag Claim:

Supabase: Database and authentication. Your account data and claim details are stored in Supabase's secure PostgreSQL database.
Stripe: Payment processing. Stripe handles all payment data under their own privacy policy.
Resend: Transactional email delivery. Used to send claim submissions and notifications.
PostHog: Product analytics. Collects anonymized usage data to help us improve the product. You can opt out via your browser's Do Not Track setting.
Vercel: Hosting and deployment.

4. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Database access is restricted through Row Level Security policies ensuring you can only access your own data.

5. Data Retention

Your claim data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us at support@mybagclaim.com.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your data.
Object to processing of your data.
Export your data in a portable format.
